A higher secondary school certificate from a recognized institute is required

An undergraduate degree in the relevant study program from a recognized institute is required

A masters’ degree in the relevant field with the required grades is mandatory. The grades requirement may differ from institute to institute

Applicants will submit a personal statement that why they are willing to apply for study in the UK

The personal statement is mandatory for masters’ programs in the UK.

A language clearance certificate is required. Applicants can show any certificate from IELTS, TOEFL, CAE, and CPE.

English Language Proficiency certificate such as IELTS and TOEFL is required. For IELTS minimum of 6.5 bands are required. For TOEFL minimum of 90 scores are required. However, the requirement may differ from institute to institute

English Language Proficiency proof is also mandatory. Applicants can show IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE certificate with required scores. 

Proof of funding for studies and living is required to show

Other documents such as recent photographs, valid passport, and all the previous academic certificates are required.

The UK Study Visa Types and Requirements

Generally, there are two types of UK student visas exist and these are listed below:

1.       Short Term Study Visa 

This visa is issued to the students who are going to peruse short study courses in the UK. The visa is valid for 06 months or 11 months according to the course duration. 

The following are the general requirements that the applicants have to fulfill while submitting their short term UK student visa application:

  • Acceptance letter or admission letter for a short course from a recognized institute.

  • Proof of funding for studies and living in the UK.

  • Applicants are required to pay for a return journey.

  • A current and valid passport is required.

  • Bank statement or payslips is mandatory.

  • Detail of travel plan is required.

  • The medical test may also be required (it depends upon your country of residence).

Short Term UK Study Visa Fee: £93 is the fee for a 6-month visa and £179 is the fee for the 11-month option.    

2.       Tier 4 (General) UK Student Visa

International students who get enrolled for full-time study programs are provided Tier 4 (General) student visa to complete their studies. The visa is valid as far as the study program is completed by the students. 

The following are the general requirements that the applicants have to fulfill while submitting their Tier 4 (General) UK student visa application:

  • Acceptance letter from a recognized university.

  • Proof of English language proficiency.

  • Proof of funding to spend on the study as well as living expenses in the UK.

  • A valid passport is mandatory.

Tier 4 (General) UK Student Visa Fee: £335 is the visa fee.
